About the training program
The Department of Economic and Social Geography provides an opportunity for a wide range of topics within the framework of preparing graduate students in the specialty 1.6.13 "Economic, Social, Political, and Recreational Geography." Among the main areas in which dissertation research is conducted are: economic and social geography of Russia, ethnogeography and geography of religions, cultural geography, economic and social geography of foreign countries, geography of the world economy. A high level of preparation in graduate school allows successfully defending dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Geographical Sciences in leading specialized universities of the country, as well as in institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
