05.03.06 Ecology and Nature Management. The direction (profile) "Geoecology" is at the intersection of geography, geology, and ecology. The program includes the study of geological processes and structures, environmental monitoring and control, and trains specialists in human-environmental interaction. Geoecologists are engaged in the assessment of natural resource conditions, environmental design, mapping, and monitoring.
What do graduates do?
Graduates of the "Geoecology" profile can work in production, design, and government structures. The main employers are oil and gas, mining companies, construction corporations, design institutes, and supervisory bodies (Rosprirodnadzor). Professions: Environmental Engineer / Environmental Protection Engineer (in industrial companies). Geoecologist / Environmental Monitoring Specialist. Environmental Expert / Auditor (environmental expertise and permitting documentation). Specialist in environmental mapping. Employee of research institutes or environmental authorities.
